So colorblindness is communicable?

In Appalachian music classroom, people are complaining about various symptoms but I don't seem to have anything. Then the color fades out of my vision in about three seconds and I wake up to the feeling of an air bubble popping in one of my veins (more like the feeling of hitting the one nerve above the elbow on the inner side ... aka funny bone).
